- Please note: We currently are in network with Anthem and Aetna in California. Otherwise- Our practice is out-of-network and does not directly accept any insurance. The prices below are for Out Of Network only.
Intake Appointment: Integrative Psychiatric Evaluation
- A comprehensive, trauma-informed assessment of your mental health history, symptoms, and goals. We collaborate on a personalized treatment plan to guide your care considering:
- 75 – 90 min session: $550
- Biological approaches (e.g. medications & botanicals)
- Psychological aspects (such as psychotherapy)
- Lifestyle changes (incl. nutritional medicine, physical activity, & complementary treatments).
- We’ll answer any questions regarding the safety of medications and the other treatment options.
- Note: insurers typically cover a 60 minute initial evaluation.
- 75 – 90 min session: $550
Ongoing Care and Follow up: Medication Management and Psychotherapy
- Sessions include review of symptoms, medication management, and therapeutic support.
- 50 min session (includes Psychotherapy): $375
- Generally a weekly, recurring appointment where we can provide supportive, one-on-one therapy to process past experiences, navigate present challenges, and promote personal growth. If medications are appropriate, we’ll discuss them.
- 25 min session (medication management): $250
- For those who need monitoring and support with their medications and a check-in for refills, minor changes in your treatment plan, and psychological support. This is not a psychotherapy session.
- 50 min session (includes Psychotherapy): $375
Home Visits
- Affinity Health is now offering limited in-home psychiatric care when being seen at home best supports comfort, safety, and continuity of care.
- Home visits are arranged in advance and include a travel fee.
- Insurance will not cover home visits nor the services associated with the home visit.
- This is an out of network service, meaning the cash prices apply.
Home Visit Travel Fee
- In addition to the clinical visit fee, a travel fee applies for home visits:
- $280 flat fee for home visits within 30 miles (of Orinda or Davis, CA), $2/mile beyond this 30 miles
- Travel fees are confirmed in advance and can be one time or several sessions depending on your need.
Other Services
Functional Lab Testing
Personalized lab testing to uncover biological or nutritional factors affecting mental health.
● Functional and Nutritional lab assessment: $150 lab review fee (note- insurers typically cover some, but not all of these labs, and this could be out of pocket for even in network patients)
Pharmacogenetic Testing
● DNA-based insights into how your body metabolizes psychiatric medications—helping us choose the most effective and tolerable treatment.
● Pharmacogenetic lab assessment: $75 lab review fee (note- this is a service insurers typically do not cover and is an out of pocket service)
Nutritional Supplementation
When indicated, evidence-based supplements to support mental and physical recovery.
Our Commitment to Personalized Care
- Over the years, our team has observed numerous instances of mismanaged care in clinical settings, largely due to the restrictions and limitations imposed by health insurance companies.
- While we are in network with a small number of insurers, our decision to offer out-of-network services stem from a deep commitment to providing the highest quality of care for each patient. By stepping outside the constraints of insurance companies, we are able to offer treatments that are more personalized, flexible, and holistic. However, superbills are available upon request for insurance reimbursement.

At Affinity Health, we strive to make mental health care transparent and accessible. We’re committed to clear communication about costs, and we're here to help you understand your options every step of the way.
Payment & Insurance
Affinity Health is in network with Anthem and Aetna in California. Otherwise we are a cash-pay practice and we accept all major credit/debit cards. Payment is due at the time of service. We provide superbills for clients who wish to seek out-of-network reimbursement from their insurance providers.
Good Faith Estimate
We provide a Good Faith Estimate as required by law. If your billed charges exceed the estimate by $400 or more, you have the right to dispute the bill. Learn more at cms.gov/nosurprises
